Ph.D. Qualifying Exam.

 

Biomedical Informatics Ph.D. Program

 

The Ph.D. Qualifying Examination will be held on November 11th 2009 from 10 am to 3 pm at room SSB-301 (next to elevator shafts).

 

For students who were admitted into the program prior to September 2008 and who wish to take the qualifying exam based on the past PhD core courses BINF7540, BINF7560 and BINF7600:

Please note that the examination consist of two parts: one, the subjects covered by the core courses, and another by the track courses. You must select one specialization track and download the appropriate form shown below:
Track 1: Bioinformatics/Biotechnology
Track 2: Biomedical Imaging & Image Analysis
Track 3: Clinical Decision Support Systems
Track 4: E-Healthcare Systems
Track 5: Hospital/Healthcare Management Systems

Please fill in all necessary information and submit it to Yvonne Rolley (rolleyyc@umdnj.edu) as an e-mail attachment by October 19th (Mon).

For students who were admitted into the PhD program from September 2008 and all other students who were admitted into the program prior to September 2008 and who wish to take the qualifying exam based on the new PhD core courses BINF5005, BINF5035, BINF5100*, BINF5210, BINF5020, BINF5130:

Please note that the examination consist of two parts: one, the subjects covered by the core courses, and another by the track courses. Please download and fill in all the necessary information in the form given below and submit it to Yvonne Rolley (rolleyyc@umdnj.edu) as an e-mail attachment by October 19th (Mon).

*For BINF5100 please indicate in the application form whether you wish to answer questions from the old version of the course (prior to Spring 2009) or new version of the course (Spring 2009).
